Falling and Full

Put one foot in front of the other.
And soon you’ll be walking out the door.

But that’s don't get too comfortable

Because

You’re going to trip.

No matter how steadily you walk; placing each foot gently ahead of you,  avoiding the cracks and sidestepping debris.

You’re
Always
Going
To
     Fall.

Tread lightly.

Carry a torch.

Walk down the straightest paths, the ones of least resistance.

Do what you can to avoid the inevitable.

But you will
Fall.

Hear me well:

This isn’t a story of failure.

This isn’t a pessimist’s mantra.

This is a rare and honest look at your life to come.

Of your time on this earth that is uneven and mostly unlikely to rise up to meet you.

You are going to fall.

You are going to fail.

And yet this isn’t story of failure.

Because the point is really just this:

It’s allowed.

And it doesn’t define you.

You will mess up twenty something times today alone.

And none of it changes the fact that you are

Spectacular.

Rising above.

Completely messed up.

Totally adored.

Standing tall.

Your posture isn’t perfect.

Which is normal.

And ok.
